STORIES OF THE POST-IDYLLIC

Video / Field Recording / Rubble / Dry Plants, 2025

A multimedia installation presented as part of the group exhibition "Yesterday you said Tomorrow" at Boothaus Berlin.

The work deals artistically and critically with the architectural practice of site analysis. It poses the question of how the subjective qualities of wasteland ecosystems can be made effectively tangible in the face of increasing development pressure on urban building land. How can unconditional forms of appreciation for more-than-human living spaces be created in a way that goes beyond the key figures of economic productivity? To what extent can the personality of a place be made tangible for outsiders and where are the limits of mediation? The work attempts to approach these questions by experimenting with various tools of representation, examining the respective media for their narrative characteristics.
