FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Perfomative dinner format in collaboration with Galerie im Körnerpark Berlin, 2025
An event featuring both real and symbolic courses – stimulating unusual encounters beneath the surface with taste, artistic, and philosophical impulses. Eight courses exploring the intertwinements of human life and the ground underneath our feet.
We often encounter the living world only on the surface, maintaining the separation between ourselves and the ‘other’. In conversation with the exhibition Every Single Thing That Exists In This Infinite Universe Is Either... and the history of Körnerpark, marked by extraction and burials, guests were invited to take a mental stroll in 8 courses:
I. Aperitif - Gathering Currents
II. Amuse-Bouche - Ver:ortung
III. Miette d’Histoire - Ge:schichten
IV. Goutte Minérale - Breathing Matters
V. Plat de Réflexion - Unter der Erde
VI. Retour à la Terre - Eat, Compost, Repeat
VII. Délices du Terroir - Future foraged
VIII. Mignardise - Lingering taste

IV. GOUTTE MINÉRALE
Breathing Matters – As a digestiv course a walk through Körnerpark was conceived in collaboration with Joanna Garmon. Through breathing exercises and drawing techniques the geological layers of the former gravel pit was brought closer to the participants. Working with graphite and pebbles, the materiality and temporality of the place were explored, with the movement of the group synchronizing with the sedimentation of the primeval river.
The exercise opened with a collective meditation introducing the participants to three material components which would guide them through the activation: A piece of graphite to draw with, a pebble to carry along and a rock candy dragee. Throughout the guided tour the group engaged both with the location of Körnerpark Gallery as well as the exhibition itself through an embodied and multisensory approach.
